MÖNCHBRUCH (2021-2022)

Where the river Main once flowed, one of the last large wetlands in Hesse has been preserved: The Mönchbruch. In the area of ditches, marshes and swamp forests, majestic old trees resist the ever-increasing drought. During the Corona Lockdown it was quiet there, but today the planes taking off from the neighboring Frankfurt Airport roar over the forest at intervals of minutes.
